An inscription is hand-piped direct to the cake surface and a sugarpaste frill is gently looped around the side. Tiny bows are fixed to the top of each frill and a narrow ribbon at the base of the cake peeps through the frills. |

Bakers and Confectioners Association 2002 competition and won 1st prize. |

Christening Quilt An heirloom quilted blanket was the inspiration for this christening cake for a boy. A blue edged plaque was used for the simple top with a delicately coloured and embossed picture of a baby. The plaque can be removed before cutting and stored carefully as a keepsake. |

Anniversary Heart Flowers were piped directly onto the surface of this sugarpasted cake, a contrasting colour has been used to suggest stems for the flowers. The inscription and initials have also been piped direct to the surface and a fine ribbon used to decorate the side edges of the cake.
